Senior Network Engineer – Relocation Available
Location: Malmstrom AFB, MT
Full Time 
Citizenship: US Citizen
Clearance:  Secret Clearance required     

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with (Junos) and Juniper devices.
Experience with Configuring Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) version 3.1 to support 802.1X protocols at the port level on Juniper based Switches.
Demonstrated background and experience in Junos Space (JSPACE) in hardware or virtual form to support staging configurations and packages to Juniper and devices.
Current CompTIA Security+ Certification or higher.
Knowledge of current windows systems and common office applications.
Ability to plan, organize and lead others in using communication systems, record and manage processes and documentation.
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues and maintain positive working relationships.
Current driver license and the ability to pass motor vehicle violation background check.
Proficiency in safely operating a motor vehicle, navigating the base and military grounds, paved and unpaved roads.
U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience working on US Federal Government Contracts.
Demonstrate experience to deliver technology solutions in a fast-paced in a deadline-driven enterprise environment.
Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment.
Attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.

JOB DUTIES:
As a Juniper Network Engineer, your are responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Managing Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure, including planning, analysis, acquisition, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, maintenance, testing, operational integrity, and/or management of networked systems.
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex network and application server hardware, operating system software, and peripheral network equipment such as routers, bridges, cabling systems, network interface cards, modems, multiplexers, and concentrators.
Developing and implementing configuration management plans to optimize connectivity between remote sites throughout the installation.
Maintaining local procedures for networks, system operations, and product assembly and installation. Implementing network operating systems and/or network application software.
Conducting testing of the network to ensure the current release of software products is in use and to ensure operability, efficiency, and compliance with existing standards,
Monitoring the operation of networks and ensuring hardware and network operating software are in place to resolve technical problems and make on-site repairs as needed, Providing ongoing support, resolution of complex problems, and addressing operating malfunctions involving various hardware components and network operating software failures.
Performing system backups to ensure expedient restoration of the database for respective network equipment.
Conduct feasibility studies to develop or modify complex information systems to meet user network and telecommunication requirements.
Analyzing measurements of traffic loads, bandwidth utilization, and collision rates for trends, deficiencies, and patterns.
Conducting in-depth analyses complicated by novel problems or special requirements of network usage, user complaints, traffic interruptions, hardware and software capabilities, and other relevant factors. 
Conducting substantial problem analyses to identify adverse trends, ineffective practices or procedures, and equipment shortcomings. 
Recommending methods, procedures, and integrating the work of others to improve performance and formulate solutions to previously unresolved problems.
Preparing reports with recommendations to accept/reject commercial-off-the-shelf hardware and software relating to the network.
Providing briefings and developing recommendations concerning long-range information system objectives.
Reviewing plans and specifications to ensure adequate analysis and justification of requirements, realistic cost estimates, and implementation dates.
May be required to travel between Malmstrom AFB and its 15 Missile Alert Facilities which are located within a 160-mile radius of Great Falls, MT.
