Are you an ambitious entry-level salesperson looking for a challenging outbound business development role? 

Connect Tech + Talent is a technology staffing & recruiting firm based in Austin, TX. We have over 25 years experience, but we still operate like a startup. We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales organization who has grit and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality. If you want to join the ground floor of a high-growth sales team, we want to talk to you. 
 
Job Overview 
On a daily basis, you will be reaching out to C-level executives and HR departments of medium and large businesses. We will give you the tools and processes to be successful in your role, but we will ask for your input on how to improve efficiency and effectiveness. You have a natural ability to build relationships via cold calling, emails and LinkedIn. You are highly motivated and goal-oriented with a memorable personality. Experience selling recruiting or IT services is helpful, but not required.

  • You are a hunter who skillfully executes a multi-channel prospecting strategy: cold calling, voice mails, emails, and social selling

Job Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
  • 2 - 5 years experience in outbound sales, ideally in recruiting or IT services 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience developing relationships with C-Level and/or HR executives 
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales opportunities
  • Must work well independently and be self-motivated
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed to meet with clients 
 Duties/Responsibilities
  • Prospect into potential customers using various inside sales tactics (cold calling, emailing, social selling, etc.)
  • Qualify prospects against defined company criteria.
  • Develop and maintain a business development plan.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects.
  • Keep notes on prospect interactions in our online database/CRM.
  • Provide forecasts on sales volumes over relevant time-periods.
